19. Mt. Chimney and Lavaridge Gym
Route 112, Mt. Chimney, Jagged Pass, Lavaridge Town. Wins the Heat Badge.
Walkthrough
Take the Cable Car from the station on Route 112 to the summit of Mt. Chimney. Team Magma has set up a machine there to use the
Meteorite
on the volcano.
Fight your way along the summit. Tabitha battles you first, then Maxie. After you beat Maxie, Archie arrives to find the Meteorite already used, and
both teams leave. Take the Meteorite off the machine. Prof. Cozmo in Fallarbor Town gives you
TM27 for it.
Walk south from the summit down Jagged Pass. It is a rough slope of ledges that
you jump down; going back up needs the
Acro Bike. At the bottom is Lavaridge Town, a hot-spring town with a Pokémon Center, a Poké Mart and an herb shop.
The Lavaridge Gym is full of holes and geysers that move you between its two floors. Flannery uses Fire types, so Water, Ground and Rock moves work well. She gives you the
Heat Badge and
TM50. With the Heat Badge you can use Strength
outside battle.
Your rival is waiting outside the gym and gives you the
Go-Goggles, so you can now
cross the Route 111 desert.
An old woman in Lavaridge offers you a Wynaut egg. The scene plays, but you cannot take the egg.
