21. Weather Institute

Walkthrough

Go east out of Mauville City onto Route 118. A river cuts the route in two; Surf across it. A fisherman near the river gives you the Good Rod. Steven is waiting on the east bank and has a short word with you.

The east end of Route 118 leads onto Route 123, where the Berry Master lives. Route 119 runs north from Route 118.

Route 119 is a long route of tall grass, rivers and frequent rain. Near the bridge in the middle of the route, your rival battles you for the fourth time and gives you HM02. You can use Fly outside battle once you have the Feather Badge in the next chapter.

The Weather Institute is on Route 119, and Team Aqua has taken it over. Clear both floors: five grunts, then the Team Aqua admin Shelly on the second floor. When she leaves, a scientist gives you a Castform to thank you.

Fortree City is at the north end of Route 119.
