The walkthroughs take each region's story one chapter at a time, from the first step to the Hall of Fame and the places that open after it:

• Kanto walkthrough, the FireRed story from Pallet Town to Indigo Plateau.
• Hoenn walkthrough, the Emerald story from Littleroot Town to the Sky Pillar.

Each chapter says where to go and what to do, then lists the wild Pokémon, trainers, key items and shops of the places it reaches, generated from the game data. The walkthroughs index has both.
