33. Sootopolis Gym

Walkthrough

Wallace is standing outside the gym in Sootopolis City. Talk to him and he gives you HM07, then moves away from the door.

The gym floor is cracked ice on three levels. A tile cracks when you step on it, and stepping on a cracked tile again drops you to the basement. The stairs to the next level open only when you have cracked every tile on the current one, so plan a path that crosses each tile once.

Juan uses Water types, so Electric and Grass moves work well. He gives you the Rain Badge and TM03. With the Rain Badge you can use Waterfall outside battle, which is the last field move you need to reach the Pokémon League.
