Hoenn walkthrough — 16. Clearing Rusturf Tunnel

Walkthrough

In one of the houses in Mauville City, a man gives you HM06. Teach Rock Smash to one of your Pokémon.

Walk west out of Mauville along Route 117 to Verdanturf Town. Verdanturf has a Pokémon Center, a Poké Mart, a Battle Tent lobby and the house of Wanda, whose boyfriend is digging through Rusturf Tunnel from the Rustboro side.

Go into the tunnel and smash the rocks that block the middle. Wanda's boyfriend is so pleased that he gives you HM04 and walks her home through the gap. You can use Strength outside battle once you have the Heat Badge. The tunnel now joins Route 116 to Verdanturf, so you can walk between Rustboro and Mauville.

There is a Day Care building on Route 117, but its door does not open.

There is no Day Care, no breeding and no eggs; see Breeding.
