20. Celadon Gym
Lavender Town, Route 8, Underground Path (Route 7 – Route 8), Route 7, Celadon City. Wins the Rainbowbadge.
Walkthrough
Go west out of Lavender along Route 8, which has 13 trainers. The Saffron gate is still shut, so take the Underground Path (Route 7 – Route 8) under the city to Route 7 and on into Celadon City.
In Celadon's condominiums, an old woman on the first floor gives you
Tea. A thirsty
guard at any Saffron gate takes it, and all four gates open. The roof room of the condominiums has
an Eevee for you to take, and the restaurant has the
Coin Case.
Differs from the mainline games
Evolution stones do nothing in pkmn yet, so Eevee and the other stone evolutions stay as they are. See evolution.
The Department Store sells TMs, evolution stones, vitamins and battle items. On its roof, a girl
trades
TM16,
TM20 or TM33 for
Fresh Water,
Soda Pop or
Lemonade from the vending
machines.
Differs from the mainline games
The Game Corner has no coins: the coin counter is not built, so the slots, the prize Pokémon and the prize TMs are out of reach.
Cut the tree in front of the Gym. Erika uses Grass types, up to Victreebel and Vileplume at level 29. Fire, Ice, Flying and Poison moves
are strong here. Beating her earns the Rainbow Badge and
TM19 (Giga Drain).
