18. Diglett's Cave and the Itemfinder
Vermilion City, Route 11, Diglett's Cave, Route 2.
Walkthrough
Walk east out of Vermilion onto Route 11, which has ten trainers. At its east
end, upstairs in the gate, an aide of Professor Oak gives you the
Itemfinder if you
own at least 30 kinds of Pokémon.
Go back west to the entrance of Diglett's Cave. The cave is one long tunnel full of wild Diglett and a few Dugtrio. It comes out at the north end of Route 2, near Pewter City.
Route 11's east end continues to Route 12, but the road on from there needs the Poké Flute, which comes later.
