28. Cinnabar Gym
Pallet Town, Route 21, Cinnabar Island, Pokémon Mansion. Wins the Volcanobadge.
Walkthrough
Surf south from Pallet Town down Route 21 to Cinnabar Island. The route is open sea with nine trainers.
The Gym door is locked. The key is in the Pokémon Mansion, a burned-out house on
the island. Statues on each floor work switches that open and close its doors. The
Secret Key is in the basement.
TM14 and
TM22 are also in
the mansion. Wild Growlithe, Grimer and Ditto live
inside.
The Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar revives fossils. Hand over the
Dome Fossil,
Helix Fossil or
Old Amber and come back to collect a level 5 Kabuto, Omanyte or Aerodactyl.
Blaine's Gym is a quiz. Each door asks a question; a right answer opens it, a
wrong one means a battle. Blaine uses Fire types, up to Arcanine at level 47. Water,
Ground and Rock moves work well. Beating him earns the Volcano Badge and
TM38 (Fire
Blast).
Not in the game yet
After the battle, Bill asks you to come with him to One Island. The Sevii Islands are not in the game yet, so the trip does not happen.
