14. Nugget Bridge and Bill

Walkthrough

Cross Nugget Bridge on Route 24, north of Cerulean. Five trainers stand on it, one after another. At the end, a man gives you a Nugget and then reveals he is with Team Rocket and battles you.

Continue east along Route 25 to the Sea Cottage at its end. Bill has been mixed up with a Pokémon. Use the machine in his cottage to separate him, and he gives you the S.S. Ticket.

Head back to Cerulean. The police officer has left the burgled house; go through it to the back yard, where a Team Rocket grunt gives up TM28 (Dig) after you beat him. This opens the south half of the city and the road to Route 5.

Route 24 and Route 25 have wild Abra, which teleports away on its first turn. A Pokémon that can put it to sleep or a quick catch helps.
