Show the 
S.S. Ticket at the pier and board the S.S. Anne. The ship is
full of trainers in its cabins, on deck and in the kitchen and engine room. Many of the cabin
battles are optional.
Your rival is in the second-floor corridor near the captain's office. His team is now Pidgeotto, Raticate, Kadabra and his starter's second stage, up to level 20.
The captain is seasick. Rub his back and he gives you 
HM01 (Cut). When you walk back
onto the pier, the ship sails and does not come back.
Cut clears the small trees around Kanto. The Cascade Badge from Cerulean lets you use it outside battle.
