Evolution
Which evolution methods work, declining and cancelling, the Everstone, and the link service for trade evolutions.
Methods that work

Evolution is checked every time the Pokémon gains a level. You can stop it by pressing B during the animation ("Huh? Name stopped evolving!"). A Pokémon that did not evolve is asked again at every later level, as in the main series.
A Pokémon holding an Everstone does not evolve by level.
Not in the game yet
These evolution methods do not work yet:
- Evolution stones (Fire Stone, Moon Stone and the rest).
- Friendship, including the day and night ones (Golbat into Crobat, Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon, and the baby Pokémon).
- Beauty (Feebas into Milotic).
- Shedinja: Nincada becomes Ninjask, but no Shedinja appears.
- Trading with another player. Ironman characters can use the link service below instead.
Link service (Ironman)
Ironman and Group Ironman characters cannot trade, so the attendant at the Direct Corner on the second floor of any Pokémon Center evolves trade-evolution Pokémon for ¥500. Other characters are not offered the service.

The Pokémon must be in your party. The held item is used up, a Pokémon holding an Everstone is refused, and once paid for the evolution cannot be cancelled. The server makes the change and takes the fee.
