In-game trades
NPC trades are refused for now.
Not in the game yet
NPCs who offer a trade cannot complete it. When you are asked to choose a Pokémon to trade, the game shows "In-game trades are not available yet." and the NPC takes the decline path, so the offer is not used up.
Tracked as PO-663.In the original games these NPCs swap one of your Pokémon for theirs, often a nicknamed Pokémon holding an item. In pkmn the Pokémon you would receive has to be created on the server, which is the part that is missing.
Player-to-player trading is not in the game either. Characters in Ironman and Group Ironman can use the link service on Pokémon Center 2F for trade evolutions; see Evolution.
