Hard Mode
Every trainer battles like a Gym Leader.
Hard Mode is a difficulty, chosen when the character is made and fixed for its life. It works with every mode, Standard included.

In Hard Mode every trainer uses the battle AI that Emerald gives its Gym Leaders on top of its own: it avoids moves that would fail, tries to finish off a weakened Pokémon and weighs which move is the strongest choice. Wild Pokémon are not affected.
Hard Mode does not make a run tuned: a Hard Mode run stays sanctioned. Its card shows a HARD badge. In a group, the founder chooses it for everyone.
