Battles

  • Your lead Pokemon's ability now shapes wild encounters, like Static drawing Electric types and Synchronize passing on its nature.
  • Keen Eye and Intimidate turn away weak wild Pokemon, and Cute Charm makes the opposite gender more likely.
  • 21 more Gen 4-5 moves now work, such as U-turn, Volt Switch, Dragon Tail, Sky Drop, Metronome, Assist, After You and Quash.

Interface

  • The battle screen now fits small interfaces, down to Interface Scale 2.00x on a 720p screen, with a compact layout.
  • The title screen and the settings window show the build's version number, starting with v0.53.1.
  • Depot releases are now named by version and carry these notes as their release page.

Fixes

  • At interface scales other than 1.00x, letters no longer sit a pixel above or below their neighbours.

Known issues

  • Abilities that only Gen 4 and 5 Pokemon carry do nothing in battle yet (PO-625).
  • 79 held item effects, mostly Gen 4 and 5 items, do nothing in battle yet (PO-626).
  • Double battles have no compact layout on small interfaces yet (PO-763).
  • Castform does not change form in weather.
