Version 0.68.0

Released 2026-10-04

Battles

  • Winning a double battle against one trainer, like Tate & Liza or Kira & Dan, online now pays twice the single prize as in Emerald.
  • A Pokemon you or a trainer switch out shrinks back into its ball, and a level-up flashes its box, as in Emerald.
  • A wild Pokemon of a species you have caught shows a Poke Ball on its health box, as in Emerald, until a status takes its place.
  • Each Pokemon's current types show under its HP bar in battle and follow Soak, Transform and Color Change (Settings > Gameplay to hide them).

Kanto

  • Thunder Shock, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Shock Wave, Hail, Imprison and Skill Swap draw all their sprites in Kanto battles.
  • A ball thrown at the Pokemon Tower ghost drops past it on screen while the ghost lunges at you, as in FireRed.

Modes

  • A Tuned run's shiny rate now goes up to x256 (1 in 32), picked with arrows that show the odds each step gives.

Interface

  • Run inside gyms, shops and houses as in PokeMMO; turn off Run indoors in the Gameplay settings to walk there as in Emerald.
  • The trainer card is a full page that fits any window, with Card, Run and Party tabs on small ones and your party one press away.
  • New action bar beside the top-left panel: keys 1-9 use a bike, rod or repel. Register items from the bag; right-click a slot to clear it.

Fixes

  • A Pokemon that rejoins your party after leaving it keeps the experience it earned, and is never removed if the server cannot verify it.
  • Jumping down a ledge no longer blurs on high refresh rate screens, and takes Emerald's height and time, for you and for other players.
  • A damaged save now says "Could not load your save" and is left alone, instead of opening with progress missing and saving over it.
  • Holding the mouse on a pause menu entry, a player's action or the Log out confirmation while pressing Enter no longer does it twice.
  • Players signing in over the internet no longer share one attempt limit, so a busy evening cannot lock everyone out of logging in.
  • After a battle the server scored differently from your screen, your party shows the experience the server saved, not the screen's.
  • Back-to-back battles no longer stall to sync your party, and a wild battle left open on the server comes back on screen.
  • The game no longer freezes for everyone for a few seconds at a time while the server machine is busy with other work.
  • A battle no longer waits an extra second or more to start, finish or use an item after the server briefly freezes.
